Description :
  • Manage large scale projects related to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Provide resolutions for production issues by performing analysis and leading communications with all Cerner IT application Subject Matter Experts (SME) and relevant HCA departments
  • Act as the IRIS technical lead in maintaining current functionality when Cerner modifies existing data tables/structures
  • Provide high level technical support and leadership to the IT team as well as to the program liaison teams
  • Perform testing of new applications as they are being developed and conduct Level 2 testing after new code has been loaded or after down time situations
Requirements :
  • Modify and maintain system foundational database code sets for all Cerner and/or similar applications such as Meditech or Epic
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner Command Language and/or SQL for creating reports and data extracts for reporting to the various state entities
  • Maintain and modify business rules and logic in compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Write in Visual Basic or in a similar language
  • Code conditional statements
  • Design custom reports/queries to validate major IRIS software upgrades, testing and system validation

Project Management | Leadership

  • Serve as a project lead who has worked with minimal direction to strategically address business needs
  • Plan, organize, prioritize, and process work to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Serve as a quality control checkpoint and establish methodology to validate data, accuracy and trends
  • Understand project management principles and techniques with some experience managing medium to large projects
  • Break down projects into individual tasks, assign tasks to team members and frequently communicate with team on progress
  • Conduct risk assessment, manage milestones, identify and ensure sufficient resources to complete project

Problem Solving | Analysis

  • Identify and resolve challenging technical issues and problems through good judgment and decision making
  • Analyze problems and propose solutions while dealing with changing priorities
  • Identify opportunities for continued system improvements
  • Perform complex professional/technical research and analysis to propose IT solutions for business problems

Oral and Written Communication Skills

  • Coordinate and communicate between all IT analysts on department and/or County IT projects
  • Develop and deliver effective written and verbal communication with stakeholders
  • Create rapport and negotiate with vendors/department staff to correct or mitigate performance issues or conflicts
  • Communicate/present technical information/materials to a wide variety of users of varying levels of expertise
